US Federal Student Aid
The Université de Montréal’s Financial Aid Office (FAO) is in charge of managing the U.S. Federal loan program, more specifically the William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan (Direct Loan). Effective July 1st, 2010, this program is for U.S. citizens and permanent U.S. residents. The FAO is also accredited to certify loans for HEC-Montréal and École Polytechnique, two affiliated schools. On this web site you will find all necessary information to complete your loan application. For further information, please contact the FAO.
Because of privacy concerns, when contacting the FAO by email, you must activate and use your institutional email address. For more information click here (in French only).
Your enrollment status and/or your credit load directly affects your tuition fees, and thus, the amount of loan you are eligible to receive. In order that all the submitted loan applications be up to date with these data, your loan disbursement date is set at 5 working days after the course cancellation deadline. The BAF will notify you of your disbursement dates.
